Lubed-Up Half-Naked NAVY Plebes, Climb Each Other To Reach Top Of Herndon Monument

What’s better than watching 1,000 shirtless lubed-up U.S. Naval Academy freshman, climb each other to reach the top of 21-foot-tall oil-slicked obelisk?

Absolutely nothing!

The annual rite of passage marked a year of intensive training for the Class of 2018.

It took the class 1 hour, 38 minutes and 36 seconds to form a human pyramid around the 21-foot tall Herndon Monument and replace a plebe hat, or “dixie cup,” that upperclassmen have placed on the top of the obelisk with the midshipmen’s cover.

Here are three videos of the climb to in case you couldn’t be there in person 😉
