Two divas have come together for one amazing cause!
Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande performed a cover of Crowded House’s 1986 hit “Don’t Dream It’s Over,” released Thursday via Cyrus’ Facebook page and LGBT nonprofit organization.
Their duet is an effort to promote The Happy Hippie Foundation, a nonprofit organization Cyrus recently launched to rally “young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBT youth and other vulnerable populations.”
According to Cyrus’ Happy Hippie Foundation, more than 1.6 million youth are homeless each year with 40% of homeless youth identifying as LGBT. Family rejection is the most common reason LGBT youth experience homelessness.
“Soooooo thankful for Ariana Grande for being a part of the #backyardsessions,” Cyrus wrote on Facebook. “You’re the sweetest little #happyhippie bear-mouse ever! Loooooove you.”
